I thought last week will be a less busy one for me. But I was totally wrong. I spent the entire weekdays going from one training to another. And I was torn apart between something new and something that can nourish my already growing knowledge about technology commercialization. But what interest me most is the new one.
For five days (which I grudgingly have to cut into three days because I have to be somewhere else, attending something else: Intellectual Property Rights Conference to be more specific) I was introduced and trained (if that is the word) to a content management system (CMS) that can be used by non-programmers like me to build my own homepage or website.
It is something new but familiar. The good thing about joomla! is that for someone who is doing some tweaking on blogspot or wordpress like me, it is easy to understand. And it is an open source, therefor joomla! is free.
The problem with joomla! is that it is a bottom to top thing. Which means, you must have everything in mind mapped out before starting. You need to have the webcontent already before you can even have an outline of your site. :(
