Ipod on Mother Earth

I came across an article two days ago about a rumor going around on a patent application filed in relation to Ipod's new feature. According to the rumors, the patent application is about integrating a solar panel on the Ipod, therefore increasing the battery life as long as you are under the sun. I presume that if this is true, the target market are those who love going out and getting kissed by Mr. Sun while they listen to their favorite songs on their Ipod.

This reminds me of those solar calculators i had when i was taking up my bachelor's. :D

Maybe they can do advanced research where instead of sunlight, radiation from the sun can be absorbed and converted to electrical energy. Just like the way solar panels on rooftops do where even night time, radiation can be collected even without the sunlight.

My online friend Lynn gave this award to me. *blush*. Thank you, Lynn.

The rules of this tag are as follows:

1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3) Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.

4) Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award. http://arteypico.blogspot.com/. Make sure you visit the link above.

The award will be given to those who are creative and have penchant for art. I am giving this to the following great bloggers:

Manic Monday #118

Do good things come to those who wait?
Good things come to those who do something to have them

Your best friend's spouse is being unfaithful. Would you tell your friend? If so, how?

I hope this will never happen. Telling someone that the better half is cheating is difficult. I would give her hints, perhaps. But if this happens to one of my best girlfriends, I will tell her the truth right away. Something that would require all the courage that I have. :D

Which part of your body do you like the least? Would you change it through plastic surgery, if possible?

My legs, i think. But i will never resort to plastic surgery. I have nothing against plastic surgery. I just don't want to do it.

Web Development: Joomla!

I thought last week will be a less busy one for me. But I was totally wrong. I spent the entire weekdays going from one training to another. And I was torn apart between something new and something that can nourish my already growing knowledge about technology commercialization. But what interest me most is the new one.

For five days (which I grudgingly have to cut into three days because I have to be somewhere else, attending something else: Intellectual Property Rights Conference to be more specific) I was introduced and trained (if that is the word) to a content management system (CMS) that can be used by non-programmers like me to build my own homepage or website.

It is something new but familiar. The good thing about joomla! is that for someone who is doing some tweaking on blogspot or wordpress like me, it is easy to understand. And it is an open source, therefor joomla! is free.

The problem with joomla! is that it is a bottom to top thing. Which means, you must have everything in mind mapped out before starting. You need to have the webcontent already before you can even have an outline of your site. :(

Medicinal Plants

Today, I was swamped with work. The boss told me how fortunate I am because when I hand in my half done paperwork, he is in a very good mood. Well, maybe I am lucky. lol. I am exhausted and I need some sleep, badly.

But before the day ends it was pleasing to know that another new technology is coming on our way. It's not actually a new one but it comes way cheaper. I used to think that this medicinal things are merely claims but today I found out that it was researched, studied and verified thoroughly.

Now that is something. :)

The Amplaya is for diabetes while the lagundi is a good expectorant. :)

Hope I have provided new information.

Have a great weekend, guys.

Manic Monday: Manic Monday for May 5, 2008

What name would you want have if you were the opposite sex?

This is a difficult question. lol. It never crossed my mind, ever. So the only name I can think of is Paulo. Maybe I will be Paulo if I am of the opposite sex. *wink*wink

Would you share the tooth brush of your spouse/significant other? Why or why not?

Maybe. On certain situations, maybe. But it is not hygienic, really.

What is a song that you love to hate?

Oh, I can't remember any song right now (boy, just early today I was hating the song I heard on my way to work and I can;t remember it's title nor its singer. :( )

Well, I really hate it when they revive songs and can't justify it.

Phone Wallpaper: Manga

Like everyone else, I had my sets of wallpapers on my phone. And my favorite anime did not escaped the limelight, a month of dressing my phone with its vibrant colors and captivating arts.

Although I stopped using it as my wallpaper, I still keep it in my memory card for safekeeping. Why? Because my adorable P gave it to me.

Here's the two Naruto wallpapers that I had on my phone.

Basic Accounting

This is a very basic book but helped me a lot on learning about the basic accounting on its truest form (lol). And through this basic book I found out that Accounting is a difficult course (for an engineer, i guess) because it ignores the left and right rule of negative and positive of algebra. sigh. There was a moment during my one-week training on basic accounting that I was literally pulling my own hair out of confusion. :D

But it is a good book. And I think it's not for sale anywere.

Bento, Bento, Bento Boxes

My day did not exactly started right with all the traffic that is very typical with Monday. And with P still on diet, I am worried that he may not find the lunch I made palatable. So, as I let the fumes go down to its normal temperature I browsed the net for more bentos that I can use for P's lunchbox. Later, I was gaping at all those cute presentations of bento photographs that I was really really inspired to make my next bento a great one. By midday, I found myself searching for cute lunchboxes that I can use for my bento. I can't find a masculine one for P but I found twin bento boxes that I really like. Although I have to resort to online buying if he find the loots I had is not good enough for his liking, but for now I have to keep in mind that P is more of the functionality-kind-of-guy than a gender-biased person. I can't wait to show him our bento boxes.

the twins, not exactly of the same size.

the two tier is definitely mine..uhmm..since I ate more than him..

above is the cover of the two-tiered box

His, wider but one-tiered:
